Clay’s Restaurants used to be the old International House Of Pancakes. The building on California Ave. was open from November 1965 to November 28, 2008. The building at Ming and Wible was open from the summer of 1973 until March 5, 2009.

The reasons for breaking away from being IHOP and going independent were three fold:

1. We broke away from being a franchise.

2. We were tired of being told what to serve.

3. We wanted to give better quality without having to sacrifice price.

Now we are able to do better: Better food, better quality and better service!
